iPhone 5 - Is Apple just screwing with us?

Around this time last year, Gizmodo infamously released details about the new iPhone which wasn’t due to be released for two months.

They basically got everything right.

This infuriated Apple – the most tightly lipped tech company on the planet.  Nothing gets out of the iron gates of Cupertino.  Or at least it’s not supposed to.

A Google search of iPhone 5 will return every possible rumor that has been tossed against the proverbial wall:  No new phone until 2012.  Production line shaven’t ramped up.  Larger screen. Smaller screen. NFC, LTE, GSM, CDMA – etc..

Frankly, it’s all bullshit if you ask me.

No one knows anything.

For every rumor that’s released, a contradicting rumor soon follows. Which got me thinking?

Is Apple playing a joke on the blogosphere/internet media?

Is Apple so pissed that their beloved device was revealed prematurely last year, that they’ve decided to fuck with everyone by planting stories, releasing bogus news, and convincing everyone that the WWDC this year will solely focus on software?

If so, bravo.

But please, don’t fuck with the program and kindly release the phone this summer.

Thank you.
